From the the addy on your web page, it appears that the new list is part of Gennet and not US Gen Web and I assume that the new list would be part of that project also.     3. Deborah, The usgennet is a server. It hosts USGenWeb sites just like Rootsweb, geocities/yahoo and all the many other free servers. I chose it because it is a nonprofit corporation unlike Rootsweb which is owned by Ancestry.com. The USGenWeb Project is a all volunteer project which allows the hostess to choose servers. Rootsweb has lists set up for every county. That does not mean that they are the official list of the USGenWeb Project for all counties. In the case of Wayne County, they are not the official list. Yes it is a duplication of effort. Rootsweb should delete their list so that it won't be confusing to people that visit the Wayne County USGenWeb Project. The rootsweb list is owned and maintained by rootsweb so I have no control over deleting it. Hence my invitation for everyone to join the Official Wayne County list. Thank you!
