ALexander Davis b. about 1798. He had lived in Perquimans County during part of his life. Most of his children were born there. But one of his daughters: Martha Davis died in Stoney Creek of Wayne County. His other children were: John b. 1827, Sarah b. about 1828, Elizabeth b. about 1832, Martha b. 1834, Nathan b. 1836, Gessill b. 1849 and Mary b. 1852. In the 1880 Census, I found out that Alexander had been born in North Carolina because his daughter-Martha's records indicate that her parents were born there. I have searched the Perquimans County records--but had no luck. Maybe someone in Wayne County has some information. Thanks for any assistance. Debbie [email protected]
