Here is what I have ... Bettie Carrie Dougherty married William Henry Cross in Lenoir County on 4-27-1891 moved to Wayne County (They are my great grand parents). Bettie had a son David Dougherty before her marriage to William Cross. On the marriage license I have for them, Julia Dougherty (don't have an maiden name or this could be her maiden name) is her mother's name and father is unknown. I have no idea where my Dougherty family started but I know where they ended up. William Henry and Bettie Carrie Dougherty are buried in the Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro. Deborah
