Hi, I am wondering if anyone has information on and Isaac Thompson born about 1780 and had his name legally changed to Isaac Handley in 1798. Isaac inherited quite a bit of land from his adoptive (or real) father John Handley SR of Wayne Co., NC. John died about 1799 and was married to Celia Boykin (who died abt 1802). Some Handley researchers and I are trying to find the true parents of Isaac and think that John SR may be the true father with a Thompson girl being the mother. Can anyone help?? Thanks so much.
