As I mentioned some time ago, I recently discovered the surname of my ancestor Rhody who married Samuel Lane. That's how this all this started. Samuel Lane and Rhody (Tomlinson) Lane joined my other ancestors in Beaufort County around 1840. Rhody is dau of Thomas Tomlinson and Mary 'Polly" Rountree. Samuel Lane remains a mystery.
