No, the old MARS is no longer available. We have moved all the land grant records (which listed streams and rivers) into our new MARS system, available at www.ncarchives.dcr.state.nc.us. You can do a keyword search throughout all the collections now. Land grants are filed in the collections referred to as State Records since they are filed in the Secretary of State Office records.
