    3. Have been working on possible dates (using census) for the children of Isham Lane Sr (son of Thomas Lane). __________ Isham Lane Jr born est 1756 Johnston County (mother unknown) ***Isham Lane Sr marr Luce Dawson Mathew Lane born est 1758-1770 Johnston/Dobbs Bethaney Lane born est 1758-1770 Johnston/Dobbs Sally Lane born est 1758-1770 Johnston/Dobbs Bryan Lane born est 1766-1770 Dobbs County John Lane born est 1766-1770 Dobbs County Cullen Lane born est 1766-1770 Dobbs County Penelope Lane born est 1773 Dobbs County Elizabeth Lane born est 1778 Dobbs County Mildred "Milley" Lane born est aft 1780 Howey Lane born est aft 1780 __________ Sally Lane marr Robert Williams Bethaney Lane marr Isaac Parker John Lane marr Edith (--?--) possibly Harris Bryan Lane marr Penelope Harris Penelope Lane marr Robert Daniel Mildred Lane marr Jesse Ginn __________ Deed dated 15 Jan 1805 Wayne County: Lucey Lane to Zadock Thompson 120 acres "being dowrey fell to me by decease of husband Isham Lain" __________ Deed dated 15 Jan 1805 Wayne County: John Lane, Matthew Lane, Isaac Parker, Sally Williams, Robert Daniel and Penny his wife, Elizabeth Lane, heirs of Isham Lane dec'd of Greene & Wayne Co to Zadock Thompson 432 acres (part of Isham's 1767 Dobbs County grant for 500 acres) [RJNOTE: Wonder if Bethaney (Lane) Parker was dead by date of this deed -- she was not mentioned and would have been if living. Also wonder why Robert Williams not mentioned as spouse of Sally (Lane) Williams -- if alive he would have been named.] __________ Deed dated 2 Feb 1807 Wayne County: Cullen Lane of Greene Co to Zadock Thompson 72 acres (part of old patent of Isham Lane dec'd) [RJNOTE: Cullen Lane on 1810 and 1820 Wayne County census so he was not in Greene County very long.] __________ Deed dated 18 Feb 1832 Wayne County: Bryan & Penelope Lane, Daniel & Elizabeth Underhill, Thomas & Mary Reaves to John Harris (part of survey granted to Samuel Herring for 400 acres; sold to Brazil Kornegay by Sheriff of Duplin County 10 Dec 1807; sold by said Kornegay to John Harris deed 10 Oct 1819; devised by will of John Harris Sr to seven daughters Penelope, Elizabeth, Nancy, Rachel, Sally, Susan, Edith) [RJ NOTE: This deed makes me wonder if John Lane marr Edith HARRIS since brother Bryan Lane marr Penelope HARRIS. John Lane on 1810 Wayne census but died between 1811 and 1819 since Edith Lane appears on 1820 Wayne census with Head of Household entry 020201-10201.] __________ Rae Jean ... in Tennessee ----- Original Message ----- From: "John R. 3. Hi, Isham LANE, Sr. had to be bore well before 1756 because he was on a deed in 1759, therefore I list his DOB as ABT 1738. I do agree, the name Lucy or Lucretia is a real possibility for the name of his wife but I think BRYAN rather than DAWSON, since they named one of their children was Bryan LANE. John R.
