Lane, b. 1832, as the father of George W. Lane, who was husband to one of my Yelverton ancestors. I found Bryant in the 1880 census, where he was age 48, and was married to Celie, age 44. I also found a reference in the book The Heritage of Wayne County that indicated Celie was an Applewhite. Hope this helps! ==== NCWAYNE Mailing List ==== NOTICE: Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. Hi, We know the YELVERTONS and the LANES kind of ran together, first, to Bertie and the to Greene and Wayne County, NC. If Robert DANIEL, who married Penny LANE is any example, I would look at Middlesex or Albemarle County, VA for their former roots because this is where RD was from. John R.
