Thanks June, I have a few other problems though, he died in Mexico and he was born before North Carolina will give out records. I did send for the social security freedom of information copy. The copy was nearly unreadable. I am guessing at "lord" Kelly, it could be "Long" Kelly since my wife said that her father was called Roland Long Kelly. She never met her grandparents.
