    1. Re: [NCWAYNE] ROLL CALL
    2. Rosemarie, it sounds as if you must be researching Micajah Casey. If so, I do have a little information on him. In fact, I visited the Casey Family Cemetery in Cliffs of Neuse State Park back in 1990 or 91. The cemetery is deep in the woods and a Park Ranger took me there in his pick-up truck and then we had to walk through the woods for about a 1/4 mile. All the old markers were cedar posts and some were missing or laying on the ground. There were a few stone memorials--one of Wright Casey whom I believe was the last Casey to be buried there. I spoke to his widow. The Ranger also showed me where the plantation house probably stood--it was near the public swimming beach on the Neuse River. I am descended from Jeremiah Casey, who also lived south of the Neuse. I have not been able to connect him to Micajah but they are close enough in age to be brothers. Somewhere I have a note that Micajah's father was William Casey, also of Wayne County. How is your research coming? If you have information on Micajah Sr.'s father and mother I would certainly like to have it. Jeremiah was born in 1754 and my group of Casey Researchers would certainly like to know where he was born, his parents, and his country of origin. Please email me at [email protected] if you want to share information. My name is Billie Casey Brundage. I sign off as BillieB
