Her father was John Southerland. I don't know much about her, and would also be interested in finding out more about the Southerlands. She married Luther R. Millard and had three children, Junius, Fillmore and Sallie Osborn (my grandmother who died when my father, an only child, was 14). I also have an ancestor who is a Hines from Wayne County, NC. I believe her name was Elizabeth Hines. My great grandfather was William Thomas Smith, married to Hepsey Peele. Their son, Elisha Vance Smith was married to Sallie O. Millard and their son, William Millard Smith was my father.
