Her eMail address is not good now. Rebecca, my grandfather was Nathan Perry Wilkins' brother. I am the Family Historian for the Wilkins Family Reunion, which we call Boon Hill Reunion. My grandfather's brother had one child, a son named Clarence, with whom the family has had no contact since about the time of his father's death, that was in 1957. There is someone in Princeton, NC, that you need to talk to ... a great aunt of mine, and yours too it seems. We are having our family reunion the last Saturday in August. I would love to be able to report that we are now in touch with Clarence Wilkins' family! Bev Williamson in FL [email protected]

    1. [NCWAYNE] Waddell Family of Johnston & Wayne Counties, NC
    2. G. Hunter Ferrell
    3. Looking for any information on the Waddell family from the Johnston/Wayne County area. >From the will of Joshua Lamm Recorded Aug. 6, 1845 Wayne County, North Carolina Item 1st I lend to my beloved wife Charlotte Lam my house.... Item 2nd I give to my daughter Polly Waddell ten dollars Item 3rd I give to my gran son harres Waddell all the Land I bought of Mathew Jyner lying on both sides of mallens(?) Branch and one fether bed & stid and furniture and one Shot gun Item 4th I give to my daughter Cherry Lam.... Harris Waddell is listed in Family #644 in the 1850 Wayne County census as being 35 years old. Also listed: Talitha, age 31; Alford, age 13; Larry, age 11; Nancy, age 10; Eliza (?) Lamb, age 28; Dempsey Lamb, age 22. Next door in Family #645 is Charlotte Lamb, age 75 (widow of Joshua) and her daughter(?) Cherry Lamb, age 60. In the 1850 Johnston County census: Family #981: Joshua Waddill, age 33 (named after Joshua Lamb?) Polly Waddill, age 56 (Joshua's mother Polly Lamb?) Cherry Waddill, age 24 Richard Waddill, age 19 Family #982: Everette Waddill, age 31 Sally Waddill, age 28 Clarky Waddill, age 4 Green Waddill, age 2 Menda Waddill, age 1 Family #988: Everette Waddill Sr., age 65 James Waddill, age 27 Richard Waddell/Waddill is listed in Wayne County censuses from 1800 until 1830. Harris Waddell is listed in Wayne County in 1840. My questions: Polly Waddell was listed as Joshua Lamb's daughter in his will. Who was her husband? Was he Richard Waddell listed in Wayne County? Was he Everett Waddill Sr. listed in Johnston County? Was he a different Waddell? A Richard Waddell left a will in Wayne County in 1832. Everett Waddill left a will in Johnston County in 1866. Does anyone have access to these or the abstracts? If so, who are the legatees? If anyone has any answers or ideas I'd really like to hear from you! Thank you. G. Hunter Ferrell [email protected]
