Mark, when your time allows would you see if you have any information on a Wayne Smith b. probably in the Goldsboro/Pikeville, NC area ca. late 1800's. He married Katherine Vail of that area and had 8 brothers and 1 sister. Their names might have been Earnest,Matt, Traper, Alice and Clee. Other names unknown. If you have any Idea who Wayne Smith's father was would sure like to hear from you. Thanks Frank Hooks Thompson Greenville,NC

This couple migrated to Burke County, GA about 1812, according to the 1846 obit of Penelope DANIEL published in the Southern Christian Advocate (Methodist publication) I think they are the parents of my Robert W. DANIEL, Esq. (1810-1865) (my GGF) and his known siblings -- a Sarah, Lucretia, Nancy and James L. DANIEL (1814-1857) of Jefferson and Burke County, GA. For the most part this family seems to have been Methodist. Any information is appreciated. Thanks......
A few years ago I found a hardcopy, large book of all Willowdale burials with a full index in the DAR Library in Washington, DC along with many other resources for that county. For a few dollars each I was able to buy the lineage of any Rev War patriot I found in Wayne Co who could be related to my John C. Barnes who died in that war in 1863 in Richmond . Thanks to those resources I was able to find my ancestor Wm Henry Barnes third wife, Annie Baker, and her will in which she left something to dozens of Barnes descendants of her husband after his death, giving all their names, relationship, etc. I'd love to know more about this fine lady he married late in life after the death of his previous wives, second one unknown. If I can find his will I will post it to this site along with anything I learn of the Baker family as well.

It is operated by the city and would probably be the location you are looking for regarding a 1913 burial. Record keeping was probably very poor to nonexistant then....some records from more recent years are difficult to interpret. The central complex office for the city cemetery is 919-734-8674. The direct number to the office located within the cemetery is 919-735-1065 but you will probably get the best results from the complex. If I can be of more assistance locally, get in touch. Am looking for information on a Nathaniel Rice born about 1794 in NC who was located in Sumner Co., TN by 1810 or so. He married Ann Uzzell, daughter of Isom/Isham Uzzell and Nancy Blackman. Ann was born about 1796-98, probably in Lenoir Co. as Isom was there on census and had land there as well as Wayne Co.NC There is a Joshua Rice listed with Isham in some Sumner Co. TN deeds etc. Is this Nathaniel's father? Believe also a William Rice was mentioned at some point. Any Rice researchers out there? Several families of this area moved to Sumner Co., TN about 1804.
