Joanne, I am researching Davis, Bogue, Pike, Maudlin/Modlin, Morris, and Griffin families of early Wayne Co and earlier Pasquotank. Have seen many Bundy references connected with that area but no link to our families that I know of. Probably my weakest link is the Griffin family and I believe you mentioned a Griffin researcher in one of your earlier queries. Would you be so kind as to give me his/her e- mail address? Robert Griffin who mar. Mary Bryant had a dau Sarah who mar. Jonathan Pike of Wayne Co. Robert Griffin b. prob. mid 1700's is my ( a number of greats ) grandfather. Any help you can give on the above would be appreciated. Frank Hooks Thompson 200 Brinkley Road Greenville,NC 27858
I would like to know if anyone has ever run across any Bundy records while scanning for their own? There was a William, Dempsey and Mark Bundy in early Wayne Co., NC. I am trying to locate my great , great grandfather, John Bundy who may have come from Wayne to Marlboro Co., SC. According to Dr. V. Mayo Bundy's book, John and his brother William Bundy (who married Achsah Fletcher in 1812 in Wayne Co) may also have moved to Guilford Co.,NC first before migrating down to Marlboro Co.,SC. These Bundys were part of a large group of Quakers that migrated from the eastern shore area of NC . They were probably attending the Contentnea M.M. north of Goldsboro , which is where Achsah Fletcher's family was worshiping. My great, great grandfather had in his household in Marlboro a wife named Susan A. (Albert?) and an elderly woman named Sarah Graham. This Graham woman was listed on the 1840 census in the column for ages between 90-100. She was listed as still living with Susan A. Bundy on the 1850 census of Marlboro as being 107 years old. Does anyone have any idea who she was? She would have been born ca. 1743. Any Graham researchers out there? Would appreciate any leads on these BUNDYS or GRAHAMS from Wayne. And there may be an ALBERT connection. Thanks. Joanne Harley New Bern,NC [email protected]
