David A. Miller 11 Sept. 1820---11 Sept. 1895 Abigail J Nelson 14 June 1830--30 March 1912 David and Abigail Miller lived in the Bailey's Camp Community, off Hwy 321, in the valley across from St. Marks Lutheran Church. They are buried in a small family cemetery on what was their property. My aunt said the family came from Catawba County with the Bolicks and Hermans. I have some info on part of the children because they married into some of my family. The Children of David & Abigail Nelson Miller: 1. John Miller b. @ 1853 (no info) 2. Mary Miller b@1854--d. 30 Sept. 1935 Mary was never married and is buried in the family cemetery. 3. William Henry Miller 10 Sept 1855--23 Dec. 1928 Married Emily Adams 16 June 1861--died between 1900--1910 Emily was the d/o of Nelson Adams & Mary Storie. Nelson died 1863 in the Civil War. He was son of Squire Adams & Mary Greene. William Henry & Emily had at least 8 children: 1. John Doctor Miller 2. David Boone Miller 3. Mary A. Miller 4. James N. Miller 5. Laura Ellen Miller 6. Ila Miller 7. Lula Miller 8. Minerva B. Miller 4. Julius Miller B. @1859 married Caroline Curtis I think Julius was killed as Law officer for Caldwell County Julius & Caroline had at least two Sons. 1. Jackson Luther Miller 14 Jan. 1860--14 Aug. 1940 married 12 Feb. 1881 Eliza Adams 2 Nov. 1858--14 Mar. 1908 Eliza d/o Nelson Adams & Mary Storie and a sister to Emily. Lute & Eliza had 6 children: 1. Jesse Clingman Miller 1 Jan 1880--7 June 1955 2. Ida Miller 3. Hardy M. Miller 26 Feb. 1885--19 Aug. 1936 4. Pantha Miller 29 Sept. 1887--12 Feb. 1970 5. Stella Miller 7 Oct. 1894--24 Oct. 1966 6. Bina Miller 14 Mar. 1899--19 Apr. 1991 After the death of Eliza, Lute married Nancy Louisa Greene, widow of Abner F. Greene. Louisa was d/o Hiram Greene & Nancy Brookshire Greene. 6. Sarah Miller b.@ 1863 Married John S. Greene b.@ 1867 John Greene s/o Hugh Greene & Eleanor Crisp Greene from the Mulberry Community of Caldwell County. John & Sarah had no children but took William David Miller s/o Julius Miller and raised him. Also they took Lucrete Greene d/i Abner S. Greene & Mary Jane Robbins Greene to raise. William David Miller & Lucrete Greene married after they grew up and raised a large family. John S. Greene was a Methodist minister and moved west near the Ashville area where he and Sarah died. John & Sarah Greene lived at what is now Greene Trading Post before moving to western NC. 7. James Miller b @ 1864 (no info) 8. Thomas Edward Miller 21 Oct. 1866--26 Oct. 1941 married Emma C. Greene 1 Oct. 1866---9 Feb. 1908 Emma C. Greene d/o Edmond Greene & Minerva Catherine Stine Greene. Thomas Edward & Emma C. Miller died in Anderson County, TN Thomas Edward & Emma Miller had 7 Children: 1. Joseph Leonard Miller 2. John Edward Miller 3. Lula Miller 4. Robert Thomas Miller 5. Charlie Miller 6. Clyde Miller 7. Clarence Cecil Miller 9. Laura Louise Miller 17 July 1870--11 Jan. 1933 married James Monroe Bolick 22 Feb. 1871--4 Jan 1919 s/o Jacob Anthony Bolick & Betty Elizabeth Frankum James & Laura are buried in the Miller family cemetery. 10.
