I have come into posession of some old deeds and land grants from the early 1800s for some of the Ward property in Watauga Co. I am hoping someone can advise me on how to properly store and copy these so as to avoid further damage. Included is a power-of-attorney- from Sabra Harmon Ward to Amos Ward dated 1812. I also have been in contact with someone who remembered Lorenzo Dow (son of Amos) Ward from childhood, and who shared several anecdotes about him. Too, I was able to copy several interesting photos; the only known photo of the wife of Amos (son of Duke) Ward, with her grandchildren, a photo on a copper sheet that may possibly be Amos Ward, a photo of a family gathering at the LD Ward homeplace about 1940, a photo of J. Oscar Ward and Mollie Cook Ward as a young (20s) couple, a photo of Reeves Billings family, ( Billings wife was the daughter of LD Ward) and several photos of Cable Brothers general store in Sugar Grove NC. I also was able to obtain a complete written history of Willow Valley Church. I ran across a name from the early 1800s that was unknown to me; Elijah Kilborne or Kilbourn. Does anyone recognize that name? Steve Ward
