    3. Does anyone have any information on an Andrew J. Younce who married Emeline Greer. They lived in the Blue Ridge Township of Watauga County, NC in the 1860 census, family # 532, with children James H.- 7, Martha -4 , Milton L.- 2, Nancy E.- 7/12, Andrew was a mechanic. Information from Michael C. Hardy: Was conscripted into Company M of the 58th NCT on Sept 26, 1862 at the age of 31. Deserted at Big Gap Creek, TN, on Feb. 14, 1863. Returned to duty on March 20, 1863. Promoted to Sergerant on May 1, 1863, and transferred to Company G in May 1863. Detailed to work in the government shoe shops in Knoxville prior to July 1, 1863. Reported absent either in Knoxville or Alanta, Georgia, through February 29, 1864. Died of disease on March 3, 1864, in Atlanta, GA. In 1870 Watauga County, NC census , family # 22, David Hendrix and wife Elizabeth and 5 Younce children --- Henderson - 17, Milton - 12, Roby - 9, Samuel - 4, Martha - 13. In 1880 WAtauga Co., NC, Stoney Fork Township,, family # 79 --- David Hendrics - 66, Elizabeth -- 58, and Younces, Milton - 22, Martha - 24, Samuel -- 14. In 1900 Watauga Co., NC, Stoney Fork Township, Family # 76 -- Martha Younce (Feb. 1856) single, mother of 3 children, 2 children living. and James M. (June 1886) age 13. Living right next door is family # 77 -- Watson, A.A. (Dec 1874), Cornelia E. (Jan 1881), America M (Nov 1898), Arthur F. (Mar 1900) THey were all born in NC in each census. The records at the funeral home said that Cornelia's father was George Younce and her mother was Martha Younce. Also the article in the paper about Acquilla and Cornelia Watson's (68th, I think) wedding anniversary, she said that they had married at the home of her uncle, Milton Younce and that as youngsters they had lived about a mile apart. These are the reason that I thought that this Martha was the mother of Cornelia Younce that married Acquilla Arnold Watson. Cornelia was born in 1881 and was married before 1900 so she is not listed in any census with her parents!!! That is not good! Even if this is not the ancestors of Cornelia, I would like to be able to find where they fit into the family. Help!!! Thanks, Jan
