    3. I want to thank EVERYONE who contributed information to me. This makes what I am about to put down possible. I don't know that I can get it all in one sitting as it is very involved. I will try to "Keep It Simple" yet knowing that writing is difficult for me. I ask everyone to bear with me and if clarification is needed on any part, let me know and I will do my best to respond. If anyone wants genealogy reports for any family being discussed, I will send out as attachments when requested. I begin with Jacob Rominger Jr. born 10 January 1783 at Friedberg, Rowan County, NC and he died 12 January 1827. He was married three times, first to Maria "Maime" Wesner b 25 March 1776 Friedberg, Stokes, NC. His 2nd wife was Susannah Miller b ca 1786. They married 17 June 1807 NC. (Rowan ?) His 3rd wife was Elizabeth Wesner b 16 June 1788. married 3 July 1821 in NC. (John Weesner Wit. Henry (Ripple Sur. Bond) Jacob's first wife, Maria Wesner, was the d/o Mathias Wesner b 1729 and Anna Giesy b 1738 and the grand d/o Johann Jacob Peter Wesner who came to the Colonies on Galley "Adventure" Oct. 1727. Other passengers on this ship included Michael Miller, Christopher Miller, Johannes Ulrick, Christopher Ulrich, Johannes Kurtz , and Johann Peter Hess. Maria "Maime" Wesner was also married to Valentine "Felty" Miller b 1766 at Friedberg, NC. the son of Johannes and Maria Faber Miller. Second wife Susannah Miller was the d/o Heinrich "Henry" Miller b ca 1755 in PA. and Susannah Miller b 21 Jan 1761 Friedberg, Rowan Co., NC. "Henry" was the son of Abraham "The Elder" Miller Sr. and his is wife unknown. Henry's wife, Susannah Miller, was the d/o Johannes Miller b 1726 and Maria M Faber b 1735. This family is well documented. Third wife was Elizabeth Wesner b 1788, d/o Johanne John Wesner b 1764 at Emmaus, PA. and Catherine Ebert b 1768 at Friedberg, NC Johanne John was the son of Mathias (see above) and brother to Maria (see 1st wife above). I think that makes Maria and Elizabeth Aunt and Niece. Mathias Wesner had another brother, uncle to Johanne John, named Johanne George Wesner b. 1732 who had a daughter named Judith b ca 1761. Judith was a first cousin, once removed to Elizabeth and a niece to Maria 'Maime". ( bet this one got your head swimming) Judith married Rev War Soldier George Miller b ca1755 and he the son of Abraham "The Elder" Miller b 1720-1725 in Germany and lived in Botetourte County, VA. The wife of Abe Sr is not known but his children known to me were, 1 Deborah who wed James Davis b. 1740-1750. 2 Jemima who wed John Thomas. 3 John b. 1730-1740 wed Hannah Isbell b1735-1745. (Their daughter Elizabeth wed Zachariah Isbell Jr.) 4 Heinrich "Henry" b. ca 1755 in PA. wed Susannah Miller b 21 Jan 1761 at Friedberg, NC. Susannah the d/o Johannes Miller b 1726 and Maria M Faber b 1735. Janice Isaacs Pilkington sent the following; LDC'; Article states that Johannes (John) Muller was b in PA. His parents came from Bergelbach, Hesse-Nassau (Frankfurt is in this area). This being the case, then I submit George Muller Miller b 1700- 1710 Bergelbash, Nassau Germany (now a part of Hesse-Nassau) as a possible father of Johannes John and that George. I'll come back later to George. (Continuing with the children of Abraham The Elder Miller Sr. 5 George b. ca 1755 (see above) wed to Judith Wesner Notes for George Miller and Judith Wesner: Revolutionary War pension papers of Geo. Miller and his widow, Judith Wesner Miller. These papers reveal the following facts; George Miller was born ca 1756, according to his affidavit, which said he as 67 yrs at time of application, May 1823, in Crawford County, ILL. In 1823 he had been a resident of Crawford County, Ill. about 2 1/2 years., indicating he must have arrived there about Dec of 1820. On March 26, 1825 he applied to have his pension sent to him in Missouri, " to which he had lately removed" (Franklin County, MO.] Judith Wesner Miller, applying for widow's pension, said George died 15 June 1830. She declared they were married in May of 1877, in Hagerstown, MD. her home being about two miles away in Funkstown. They were married in the German Reformed Church, by a Rev. Wm. Wymer. His record book could not be found. Affidavits indicated she was 16 years old. at the time of marriage in 1877. This would make her date of birth ca 1761. She presented a family record page from a German Bible which recorded their first child as Elizabeth, born 2 Mar 1780. [Friends had testified they were married some time before their first child was born.] This page recorded the tenth child, David, b. ca 1799. Land deals of George Miller in Maryland. 1] George and Judith bought land in Washington Co. MD. in 1785. [Washington Co. was formed from Frederick Co. in 1776] A final Wesner marriage of note would be Rebecca Wesner b 4 March 1805, d/o John and Catherine Ebert b, 1768, married Daniel Spach b. 1793, son of Johann Adam Spach b 1753 and Catharina Ebert b 1759. A daughter of Rebecca and Daniel Spach, Charlotte b. 1819 married Christian Miller b 1813. (I need to find out this Christian Miller's parents.) 6 Abraham "The Younger" Miller b. 1 Mar 1771 who wed Sarah "Sally" Givens b 15 Mar 1774 son of Abraham "The Elder" Miller Sr. There are some who place Abraham "The Younger" as a son of John and Hannah Isbell, but I disagree. My reasons are as follows; Source: Ray Isbell [email protected] 30 Sept 01. John and Hannah Miller, originally of Augusta Co., VA, moved to Lincoln Co., KY sometime before 1780. John Miller died there intestate in 1781, but Hannah died in 1795 and left a will that speaks of her daughters. Then a court document dated 1786, 23 June, page 513 "Virginia Supreme Court, District of Kentucky, Order Books 1783-1792: Upon the petition of James Davis and Deborah Davis his wife, and Abraham Miller the Younger, a minor, by the said James Davis his Guardian, it is ord'd that the Sheriff of Rockingham County summon to appear here on the ninth day of the next Supreme Court, John Thomas to prove the will of Abraham Miller the Elder, dec'd, and take upon himself the execution thereof, or show cause to the contrary. And also that the said Sheriff summon the said John Thomas and Jemima Thomas his wife, and that the Sheriff of Lincoln County summon Zachariah Isbell and Elizabeth Isbell his wife, Wm. Field and Mary Field his wife, and Hannah Robertson, legatees under the said will, to appear here on the same day to answer the petition of the said James, Deborah and Abraham exhibited against them. And it is further ord'd that the present Admrs do not pay away any legacy or legacies or any part thereof to any person whatever claiming the same until the further order of this court. D E Miller NOTE: I believe James Davis and Deborah were petitioning for Abraham "The Younger" rights as a child of Abraham "The Elder" Miller Sr. (I was going to paste a copy of Hannah Miller's will but can't seem to put my hands on it at this time.)
