Thank you for the replies. I realize now that I didn't provide much information. So, I'll try to do that now. I have a copy of a letter written to Mr. N. B. Creed, Watauga Falls, NC, on December 18, 1902. The letter was from Frank A. Baiton, Captain 3d Cavalry, Commanding Troop F, Fort Yates, ND. The purpose of the letter to N. B. Creed was to inform him of the death of his son James Creed. James Creed was born in Carter Co TN about June 1876. His father, Napoleon Boneparde "N. B." Creed, was born in 1853 in Carter Co TN. I believe the father of N. B. was William C. Creed who was born in NC. I have no idea where in NC he was born. If anyone can shed any light on this family, please let me have your comments.
