Have browsed ALL archives of Watauga Co. Thank you for getting me started on my WATSON family search. In 1880 Stony Fork census is the family of: Lee P. WATSON Self Male M W 47 NC Occ: Farmer Fa: NC Mo: NC Emly WATSON Wife Female M W 49 NC Occ: Keeping House Fa: NC Mo: NC Alfred WATSON Son Male S W 17 NC Occ: Farm Labor Fa: NC Mo: NC John WATSON Son Male S W 15 NC Occ: Farm Labor Fa: NC Mo: NC Jerimiah WATSON Son Male S W 15 NC Occ: Farm Labor Fa: NC Mo: NC Lee WATSON Son Male S W 13 NC Occ: At Home Fa: NC Mo: NC Elen WATSON Dau Female S W 10 NC Occ: At Home Fa: NC Mo: NC Frankey WATSON Dau Female S W 7 NC Fa: NC Mo: NC Julie WATSON Dau Female S W 3 NC Fa: NC Mo: NC The 1870 Stony Fork posting of this family: 38/38 WATSON Parks ag 37 farmer $500/373 bn NC parents born NC Emeline ag 39 bn NC Reny (?) dau ag 18 bn NC William G. son ag 17 bn NC Abraham son ag 15 bn NC Larkin son ag 12 bn NC Cobitha dau ag 11 bn NC Winsey (?) son ag 9 bn NC Alfred son ag 7 bn NC Jeramiah son ag 4 bn NC John son ag 4 bn NC Elizabeth dau ag 1 bn NC Lee, listed as SON in 1880 is NOT listed as abt age 2 in the 1870 census posting. I have been gathering any and all WATSON families from 1850 thru 1880 to see if Lee was the son of another Watson family. However, found no child in 1870 in Wilkes, Wake OR Watauga Co that could have been Lee. I have also seen Watson family trees at the rootsweb worldconnect databases. None of these online files of Ambrose L.P Watson show a son named Lee, bn about June 1868. Any further guidance would be most appreciated. Thank you Debbie Beach Waynesville Missouri [email protected]
