I am new to research in this part of North Carolina - can someone kindly tell me where Cove Creek is? I am researching McElroy/Davis/Smith families that lived in Cove Creek Settlement area in then Wilkes Co. (1795) - then Ashe (1799) and now Watauga Co. Also, does anyone have a copy of the Watauga Co. Heritage Book and could look up names for me? I know there is an article on the family of George Davis/Sarah McElroy - I have some of the text from the article, but would dearly love to see the whole article.... and have been unable to locate a copy of the book.
