    3. Greetings folks! Here is an update on my research into the "Hanging Rock Army Camp." I had one gracious reader that said the quote appears in the "History of the Triplett Family" by Jesse Triplett Ferguson, published in 1922. I could not find this book, and, I am a librarian and get paid to find books! I searched both OCLC and the Library of Congress and still could not find this book. I found a few other books on various members of the Triplett family. Has anyone ever seen this book by this author? Second, I had another gracious reader respond that as a child, she had been to Blowing Rock and seen an army base there. Does anyone else had recollections or information on a 20th century army base at Blowing Rock? Maybe a recruiting camp? Third, I found this picture at: http://libweb.uncc.edu/archives/ncscenes/ncpt3.htm The caption is: "The Hanging Rock-Near Blowing Rock Village." Can anyone identify the location. Could the "Hanging Rock Army Camp" refer to an older name for Blowing Rock, instead of Hanging Rock Mountain? That is a good question, for which I still do not have an answer for. I'm going to App sometimes this week or weekend to dig through some of there files, and maybe over to the Public Library in Blowing Rock, or there little historical society. Does anyone have any history of the name changes in the Blowing Rock area? I know tat in 1860 the area is called Watauga Gap. Thanks, Michael C.
