    3. Dorothy, Thank you for offering to research Cherokee Indian heritage. I am married to a Teague who was born in Boone. His Grandfather, Moses Teague, was born in Ashe County. No one has substantiated it, but there is talk in the family of a grandmother who was a full-blooded Cherokee. Her married name would have been Teague, and her first name may have been Malinda. I would appreciate any information or leads you might have!
