Hello, to all, I'm still amazed at all of the information and the willingness to share with me. You have no idea how much I've hoped that "Just maybe" my Tripletts could be from Watauga, BUT as we all know, we can't control what happened in the past. Hopefully, I'll be able to trace my ancestors to Watauga County, but maybe not. Sharon, I also have made the trip from the northwestern corner, of upstate South Carolina. I live in a small comminuty called Tamassee, between Walhalla, and Seneca S.C. Only about 96 miles from Burke Co. NC. One of my sons took me to the Morganton Burke County Library a year and a half ago, and we were able to find Land records, in Thomas's name, and a few other items. I have wanted to go back and walk through some of the cemeteries, to see if I can find a grave for my gggGrandmother (who ever she was). BTW, I've only lived out here for almost 30 years, but thats another story. I'll be back on here in a few minutes, and I'll give the names of the books I have, that may help some of you.
