Hi, Sheila According to what I have Sarah Catherine Church b 23 Nov 1840 was the daughter of James Church (1808 - 1861) and his wife Ruth____ (b c. 1815). She and Asa Brown (1837 - 1921) married 10 Jan 1858 in Ashe Co NC and had 1) Joseph Brown (c. 1859 - ) 2) John Sherman Brown (30 May 1867 - 4 Feb 1960) and 3) Asa Eugene Brown (15 May 1871 - 1 Mar 1869). Sarah Catherine Church d. 25 Aug 1928 at age 87. James Church (1808 - 1861) was the son of Philip Church (3 Dec 1767 - Aug 1859) and Sarah Hannah Andrews ( c. 1775 - ?).
