I am so excited! I believe I have torn down the proverbial wall! A while back I received my biological grandfathers S.S. Application. He stated his father was John EGGERS & mother was Angeline EGGERS. I have never been able to find them together in Watauga Co. on the 1900, 1910 or 1920 censuses. Recently I received a letter from an Uncle. He told me that his mother said that his father, Arlie EGGERS, had said he took his mothers maiden name because he hated his father. Today I found Angeline EGGERS in the 1880 Watauga Co Census. She was 1 year old in the house hold of Riley EGGERS. Could this be Arlies mother? Riley is still in Watauga Co in 1910, but no Angeline. Arlie was born in 1906, Watauga Co. I need to find who Angeline married. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am so pleased at this information but want to push on while the iron is hot. Thanks!
