Hi Loretta, I don't have any information for you on William Larkin Greene, but I do have a William Green born 1945, but no wife. I also have a Benjamin Greene, (Diane, Susan Emily, Susie Emma) all married to Pennell's. Also have a Floyd E. Greene married to a Parks. You also mention Triplett, I also have them married with the Pennell's. So you are getting close to my back door in genealogy, so if anyone can tie any of these in with the Pennell's, I am also interested. Hi Loretta, I have tons on both the Hodges and Greene lines. For example, Hiram Hugh Greene and wife, Nancy Brookshire had a daughter Mary who md. William Morris Hodges. William and Mary are my 2nd great grandparents. The info I have is more an the ancestors of your Willim and Judy rather than their descendants. Let me know what you need! I found a location map for Blue Ridge Township which I have forwarded to Kathryn off list. Here's the link: http://geonames.usgs.gov/domestic/index.html It doesn't have street names, so it must be a tiny place. It's north east of Blowing Rock and south east of Boone, and a little west of the Blue Ridge Parkway. When we were in North Carolina several years ago we must have been within shouting distance of the Blue Ridge Community! Small world. R.A. in CA
Thanks John Fletcher for he heads up on attachments. Go to Google and put in the box Blue Ridge Township, Watauga County, NC and it will take you there. Nina Jo Hoover
ty for the link but i think i actually found what i am looking for on Virtual Earth. Bamboo Rd area would be more likely, as they moved to the northern part of Caldwell County and that wasnt very far. Its also close to other areas Ive come across in my research like Hodges Gap, Aho, etc. Thanks again everyone for all your help! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nina Jo Hoover" <jody@yorkinternet.net> To: <NCWATAUG@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, January 13, 2008 5:40 PM Subject: [NCWATAUG] Blue Ridge Township,Watauga County,NC - Google Maps > Click on link below and maybe this will help. > > http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > NCWATAUG-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message

Some info. to share with you for your Winebarger & Miller family files. The land for the old Zionville School in Watauga Co. was donated by Dalton Van Buren Winebarger & wife Lula Miller Winebarger. Dalton was the son of De Marcus "Mark" Winebarger & Martha "Mattie" Carrol and grandson of John & Nellie Oxford Winebarger. Dalton's wife, Lula, was the daughter of Edmund Blackburn "E. B." Miller & Jane Holman Miller; granddaughter of Jonathan David Miller & Rebecca Blackburn Miller; great-granddaughter of David Miller & Sarah Elizabeth Norris Miller. Zionville School was a rock school built at Mabel near the Mabel Methodist Church which is still standing. The property where the school sat was sold after the county opened Mabel School in 1939. A small house was built on that lot after the school was torn down and is still there used as rental property. Mabel School was replaced a few years ago and the new one is not far from Old US 421. If you have info. on the Miller family, please be in touch! Sherry Winebarger-Reeter

Yes, that is the same Hosea & Martha Ann Miller. Do you know anything about the Winebarger who donated the land for Winebarger School or Old Mount Pleasant Church? Only about the adoption and the mill in Meat Camp. The Winebargers are actually my husbands family and they are from the Gamewell area of Caldwell Co. , but descend from Ebenzer Winebarger from Watauga Co.
