Hello kjaster, I have been plagued by the same question. I was told by my mother when I was a child that we had Cherokee ancestry. Mom said that our ancester had to conceal their heritage or be forced to go to Oklahoma on the Trail of Tears. I know of my heritage through family stories. I can't prove it. Hello again, Ron I haven't had any more luck in finding your great grandfather William Perry. Have you tried a query on genforum? There seems to be a lively bunch searching the Bolick name: http://genforum.genealogy.com/bolick/ R.A. in CA
Graggs, Coffeys, Greenes, Boones, Estes, Setzers. I am getting a headache;probably why I avoid working on them, so many people;so few names.grrrrrr. To get this straight and understand it, I am going to have to print off all these emails, lay them side by side, print off what I have, lay it beside the others. And run away. In one of these emails we have him marrying two of his wives on the same day. I'll be back in about a week after I trudge thru these things and see if I have it right. I don't have a Gragg in my direct lines, but my Aunt Hazel Clarke married one. Coffeys in my lines----you just don't want to go there. Greenes not im my direct lines or even side lines, Boones= well everyone has just got to have one; don't know I do. EStes, third gr aunt Delphia Adkins married Reuben Estes. Setzers, gr aunt Caroline married Wm Azor AND Katherine Setzer married to Henry George Dellinger were my gr gr...grandparents. Headache getting worse. -----Original Message----- >From: Carolyn Curtis <curtis.real-estate@worldnet.att.net> >Sent: Jan 16, 2008 5:35 PM >To: ncwataug@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [NCWATAUG] Rev. James B. Gragg m. to Nancy Jane Humphries did not go west. They both died in Caldwell County. They are my ggg-grandparents. Clarification on earlier posting......Edmond Paza Gragg was not a son of William "Revolutionary Bill" Gragg and Nancy Coffey. Apparently, he was a son born to Nancy Coffey after the death of William Gragg. Father unknown. i am wondering was there any native american connection with the harrison family? and if so where? i cant find any, but have been asked several times by others down here working on this line.
Obviously, you're right about the date of marriage of William and Elizabeth Pulliam. I was trying to do 2 things at the same time and typed the wrong date for their marriage. -----Original Message----- From: ncwataug-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ncwataug-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Katherine Chester Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 5:56 PM To: ncwataug@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [NCWATAUG] Fw: McGinnis/Walker/Gragg/Swift William Obediah Gragg 15 Apr 1758 Augusta Co Va - 20 Oct 1847 - Pinola Avery Co NC m.
