I have just finished the North Carolina World War II Casualties, this is a listing by county of North Carolina dead and missing of World War II, I thought you might want to share this with your county coordinators. http://www.accessgenealogy.com/worldwar/northcarolina/index.htm Thanks Judy
I have been updating some Dugger information in my files and in the course of this came across Joel Dugger, age 21 b. TN, listed in Laurel Creek Twp. Family # 94, with wife Sarah, age 22 b. NC and daughter Jane l., age 1, b. NC Family # 99 is a Sarah Dugger, age 30 b. NC and daughter Charlotte, age 10, b. NC Can anyone tell me who Joel's parents might be. I figured that he might be the grandson of Joel and Hester Dugger, but do not have enough information to go on to determine his parents or to who this other Sarah Dugger might have been married. Any comments or information greatly appreciated. Tom
Greetings folks! Just a note to tell you that the 5th Annual Watauga County and the Civil War program has been postponed from this Saturday to Saturday, March 16. This Saturday just does not look promising from a weather point of view. Our local weatherman has forcasted snow, ice, and rain, then back to snow, and that is just Saturday. The tour of Watauga County Civil War sites has been moved to sometime in the spring. There will be a regular accouncement (press release) following this email. We hope that you will join us on March 16, and hope that the change does not cause you problems. Alas, that is spring in the High Country! Regards, Michael C. Hi Watauga Listers, PLEASE, let's move all discussion about the possible reprint of Vol. 1 to MY e-mail address. Sharon: [email protected] Subject: Vol. 1 Reprint We have about 320 members on this list, and although many of you are interested in acquiring a reprint of Vol. 1, many folks on the list probably don't want their mail box overloaded with messages that don't contain actual genealogy help. Thanks, Sharon
Hi Watauga Listers, It IS possible that the Heritage of Watauga County Vol. 1 may be reprinted. If you want information about how a reprint might come about, please reply to ME, PERSONALLY. SHARON: [email protected] SUBJECT: Vol. 1 reprint *** Please don't reply to the list. *** I will be glad to send detailed info about a possible reprint.
