Can anyone tell me if there is a Bible or some other record that shows that Mabel Malinda Watson who married John Riley Greene was the daughter of Elihu Watson and his wife Celia Sherrill? I submitted a Supplemental DAR application 2 years ago and they are just now checking the application. I'm trying to find the name of the orphanage to which my father was sent in about 1925 from Wake Co., NC. It was near Boone and Blowing Rock, so I'm assuming it was in Watauga Co. I think it was just for boys at that time, and he always spoke of it as though it had a religious affiliation, but I don't know if it really did or not. He recalled that they used to take trips to Blowing Rock, which was quite nearby. I know it was still there in the 1980s, when he was still alive, because he made contributions to it. However, no one in the family can now recall the name or exact location. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Joanne Gaudio
