Dear Researchers of the Washington County, North Carolina Mailing List, Have you found any migration from New England to Washington County, North Carolina, in the early 1800's? If so, what seems to have been the primary motivation for the move? I am researching the Lott PRATT and John PRATT who appeared in the 1810 Federal Census of Washington County, North Carolina, who may have been a match with or related to a Lot PRATT who was enumerated in the 1800 Census of Peacham, Caledonia County, Vermont.
