I am looking for information on the parentage of my gg grandfather: Joshua B. DAVENPORT born 1 May 1827 Washington Co., NC died 11 Nov 1892 Washington Co. buried cemetery at Spruill's Bridge, Washington Co. married ca 1849 to Sarah WOODLEY dtr of Eli and Harriett WOODLEY subsequently married to Sarah Elizabeth SWAIN and Caroline E. WOODLEY (Sarah's sister) The 1850 census shows him living in Cool Spring District of Washington Co. Harriett Woodley was a SPRUILL, but her mother was Mary DAVENPORT (1779-1858). I don't know if she was related to Joshua. Does anyone have any information on my Davenports? I am happy to provide GEDCOM files on these folks and their families.
