I believe he married Margaret Wilkons(sic?). William was a Confederate Veteran having served in Co.G, 1st Regt. NC Troops (Infantry) CSA. He was wounded in action at the Battle of Sharpsburg on Sep 17, 1862. William Gray and Margaret had a son named James Sylvester Collins who d. Apr 3 1959(James Sylvester had children named James William and Vera Meele). Any information abour the ancestors of William Gray Collins would be appreciated.
