I should have added to my post that the 1851-1873 marriage volume is the first volume at the courthouse. The courthouse burned in 1864 during the battle of Plymouth and again in 1873 or 1874. Some records were saved during the 1873 fire but the only thing saved from the 1864 fire was the deed records. If your believe your ancestors married prior to 1864 in Washington Co you will not find the records.
