    1. [NCWARREN] How to find Smith Cr?
    2. Clarence McDaniel
    3. I have been writing a biography of William Paschal of the NC land grants forever it seems; always updating it. I have used google Maps; aerial view, of Warren Co but can not locate Smith Cr. There is a E-W baseline of 4,521 ft between Cabin Br and Smith Cr that i need to find on a modern map. I have a good 1874 map and others. Besides hopping a plane to get there(in AZ now) I don't know what to do. If someone who knows the area and can use google maps could guide me we might get it or some other way? Clarence McDaniel, in the sonoran desert

    3. On the Warren County Links page, there are links to maps, one of them is a map that covers 1741-1930 of the the Old Granville area that became Warren, Bute, etc. The map shows locations of many residents and buildings through the ages overlaid on a 1930's map. On the map, enlarge it, you will see first Smith Creek Township in the upper portion on the VA/NC border, under the words "Run in 1730"; Smith Creek is to the left of the Townshiip between the border that says "Bute". Here is the direct link to the map, which can be manipulated by first enlarging it with controls at the top, then placing your mouse over the map and moving it around: http://dc.lib.unc.edu/cdm/singleitem/collection/ncmaps/id/3569 Links to more maps can be found here: http://www.ncgenweb.us/ncwarren/links.htm Deloris Williams -------------------------------------------------- From: "Clarence McDaniel" <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 08, 2013 1:21 PM To: <[email protected]> Subject: [NCWARREN] How to find Smith Cr? > I have been writing a biography of William Paschal of the NC land grants > forever it seems; always updating it. > > I have used google Maps; aerial view, of Warren Co but can not locate > Smith Cr.
