While John Bennett Boddie's work is well worth reviewing, it is my understanding numerous errors have subsequently been documented (I hesitate to call these "errors," since more likely it is just the "evolving" nature of genealogical research, with additional data having come to light.) Nevertheless, great caution should be used when consulting Boddie. And....there was more than one West Harris....and it is unclear as to whether there was a relationship. These Harrises appear to have migrated to the Montgomery/Rowan Co area...and I *think* there is some sort of monument (grave) there. HOWEVER....again, use caution, because if my memory serves me correctly (and it does sometimes fail me!! <g>), I think this monument was erected in more recent times by some descendants (possibly a DAR thing)...and hence, also is subject to some question. --Sandy
