Thanks for your assistance. Yes L. A. is my first cousin but some of his info is not correct although he spent considerable time and effort working on it before his illness. He never could explain where Judkins came from except that it was the name of a nearby family. No Harris ever married a Judkins so I don;t know what he is basing this on. I always thought it might stand for Joseph as that is a family name. Sallie
