Pardon me for butting in but John J. Harris was my great great grandfather. Thre is no documented proof that his middle name waas Judkins, unless you hve some and if you do, please tell me what it is and where you got it. As for a 2nd wife, John was still married to Nancy at the time of death and they were buried together. Her name was listed on the 1860 census and is where that comes from. I wonder if the censis taker got the info from a neighbor (which I understand was frequently done in those days) of if her full name was Mary Nancy or Nancy May Lnacaster as I have never been able to,locate her parents.
