There is a book by Shirley Jones Mallard called "Our Partenia" about the daughter of Samuel Duty and Frances O'Kelly Harris. It is a very interesting book. Deed Book IJ, page 167 says that John Harris' wife was named Rachael. Some think her last name was Kittrell, but I have no documents on this. Mary Elizabeth Watts was married to John Earl. There is an interesting story about her if anyone is interested. John Harris's father is Richard Harris. This is in Deed Book H page 266, Granville County. Hope this will help someone. Also to the person who was interested, I looked at the Ancestral File at the Family History Center and found a Robert Harris, born 1817 in Warren County. He was married to Elizabeth Duke also of Warren County. If tthis is the right one, I will be happy to look further. Norma Grice
