You may be right about this being a different one. In looking at these records, the last transaction showing a DAVID GILL, was in 1783 in Halifax, again as a witness. There was nothing in the Warren deeds that I've seen so far. Have you checked out the Warren County USgenweb site or actually Bute County site, since some of this would have been before Warren came into being which has abstracts of the Will Books there? It is a really good source of info for the County.
