I have a Zebiah SIMS who married John EARL in Warren Co 21 June 1780. Her mother has been reported to be Elizabeth DUKE, wife of Edward SIMS. I had earlier assumed they were married in Virginia, but now I find that there was a DUKE family in Bute Co that might have been hers. Does anyone know if she was a daughter of John DUKE, who married (first) Charlotte GREEN and, if so, which of his wives was her mother? Tom; Thanks for the information on John Earl, The Earl/Earls/Earle of Warren Co. NC. are my ancesters. Gameliel Earls b abt 1710 in Fishing Creek Dist. is the forefather of this group clan of people.
