Nola could the Rudd/Ruddal/be Riddell or Riddle or Ridal? I know how terrible the census records are to read and decipher. Some of the enumerators could not spell and some didn't ask. Just do the best you can and let us take it from there. We do appreciate it.

I have found incorrect spellings not only in the census records but marriage and estate records too. A case in point, my ancestor Lemuel Moore married Lucretia Rudd. Her name is Lucretia Reid on the marriage records of Granville County NC. Her father was Jeremiah Bailey.
