Claude, You are absolutely correct. Most of the indices I have found have glaring errors. It is not that the original spelling is right or wrong - it is just not transcribed correctly. No doubt I will make many of the same mistakes on Warren Co. because I also can not tell what was intended by the writer. One that is bothering me now is variations between Rudd (which some had transcribed as Ruddae and one that may or may not be Rudd because it looks more like Rudal but even then I can not tell what was intended. Once I get the list up, I promise that I will try to at least make the index correct once people on the list get a chance to look at it and help me with the intent of the census taker. I have had these images forever and have avoided posting them because I almost dred what I will have to do to correct the mistakes but I do think the list has the collective talent to make up for what I lack. At the moment I have everything done except sticking each image on a page. I have a "working index" to start with so hope all will help get this one as correct as possible. They should be online by tomorrow evening. Nola
