Someone correct me if I am wrong on this! Patti, I think legally you are correct. You have a better standing if it is listed on the deed. I know of several cases in NC that developers have either taken over cemetaries or tried to. In reality if a cemetery is not kept up the loggers or others might not see it. (At least I am sure they would claim that. :>) ) BTW, what families are you researching?
