Perhaps I should have explained these a little, because I got a few "irate" people responding to me. On the website for Warren CO NC, there are some message boards provided by Rootsweb, called "Genconnect" boards. There is an option to set the boards to let the list know when new posts are made. If you'd like to be removed from the mailing list, please visit the Warren Co. NC Queries: <http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Warren#Subscribe> If you wish to respond to this message, please post your response directly to the board. <http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/NC/Warren> --------------------------------------------------------- The purpose behind this is to let people know if new postings are made. The emails do not include the entire text, but tells you how to get to the specific posting, and what names are in the posting,,, in this case it's NICHOLSON, FITTS, SOMERVILL, KEARNEY & Warwick. So if YOU would be interested in those names, you would know that someone on the boards posted a query. You could then go and respond, or send an email to the originating poster. Since this implementation, I've already seen SEVERAL responses from listmembers finding out their lines were being discussed, so it's already done some good. But I have also received a few complaints. So, since you have SEEN what they look like, and now know what they mean, tell me what you think. I probably should have announced it at the time I did it, but hey, I was operating on 4 hours sleep in 2 days, and kinda forgot... so I apologize. LOL. (I hate my job,, I hate my job,, oh wait, we are talking genealogy, right?) Seriously, I know this means MORE messages across on the list, and those who are getting digest mode, will continue to get digest mode with only the added messages. But this will also give ALOT more "Bingo's" or "connections" to those actively researching.
