My family research includes the following ...Clark, Benson, Partin, Abernethy, Perdue...Some of these families were also from Edgecomb Co, Wake and Halifax as well as Warren..being in Warren at one time or another...My mother was born in Warren...Benson...Thanks...Joyce Johnson

Three brothers, Thomas, William and James CAWTHORNE, originally from Essex Co. VA, were transiently in Warren Co. and then moved to the Lancaster Co. SC area around 1790. I am looking for the parents of Nancy CAWTHORNE who married John THOMPSON prior to 1809, lived in Mecklenburg Co. NC. I suspect she is the daughter of James Cawthorne above, but have no proof.
