Celeste, I don't know how reliable this information is but the book "Sketches of Old Warrenton" by Lizzie Wilson Montgomery says Pg 90 "The first owner of the store, as I remember, was a Mr. Perkinson, well known in the town as "Drug Perkinson," who came to Warrenton from Petersburg. It was afterwards owned and used as a drug store, by Jack Nicholson, who moved to Texas to live in 1867." Page 373 - "Across the wheat field, from Mrs. Macon's on the west, is the home of Mrs. Thomas, built and occupied by Jack Nicholson, a druggist in Warrenton, for some years. Before the war he married Miss Bettie Williams, daughter of William C. Williams. A few years after the Civil War, he, with his family moved to Texas to live, where he became a successful man. They died in their far-away home, leaving several children." I know this doesn't answer your questions, but I thought it might help you find more information.
