Gideon Macon was the father of Nathaniel Macon, right? Was Ann Hunt Macon dau. of Gideon? Wm Alston's (son of Joseph John) youngest dau. was named Mary Ann. She m. Edwards Rives of Chatham Co. and named a dau. Mary Edwards Rives. M. E. R.'s m. Aaron Gaston Headen of Chatham. They named a son Macon Headen. I suppose it was only as a thank you to Ann Hunt's Macon family for helping raise her as a child as never have seen direct bloodline between Wm Alston/Edwards Rives or the Headen's of Chatham.
