    3. Hello all, I'm a new subscriber and would like to know if anyone has access to Warren Co. death records (1820) to do a look-up or could tell me where to find them on the internet? I tried GenWeb with no success. I found the Robert Jones Bible listed with Warren Co. courthouse records. In that bible is an entry for Ann W. Early who died 27 Feb 1820. Does any one have further info on her? My surnames are :Early, Jones & Hawkins. If you can help, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Shirley in Idaho

    3. North Carolina did not keep death (or birth) records until 1913 - so there would not be death records anywhere, unless there was a family Bible. Cemetery markers that early are unlikely to have carried any carving - if they are even extant. Best records concerning deaths are usually wills and/or estate records. Unfortunately, most property remained in the hands of fathers and husbands - so there aren't too many wills or estate records for women. But, those are your best bet. Court minutes are also helpful as they sometimes contain information concerning the settlement of a husband's and/or father's estate, the application for year's support, etc. -Sandy On Sunday, July 27, 2003, at 07:07 PM, Shirley wrote: > Hello all, > I'm a new subscriber and would like to know if anyone has access to > Warren Co. death records (1820) to do a look-up or could tell me where > to find them on the internet?
