I have 2 main lines in this county: HOWELL: My great grandfather, (according to info from aunt & genealogist Folks Huxford) came from Wake Co, NC down into GA. JOHN CASWELL HOWELL b ca 1820 NC, supposedly Wake Co. d 1883 Milltown, Berrien Co, GA CASWELL HOWELL mar PERNEICE WOMACK -in my aunt's info!! mar ARRENA WOMACK - in Huxford's info ; PERNEICE MORING according to info in at the LDS. Some of the Census gave her birth place in NC & some in GA. I'm beginning to be more comfortable thinking of wife as PERNEICE MORING, as CASWELL HOWELL had a bro, BARNEY B. HOWELL who also came down into GA w/him - & the bro's wife was SMITHY JANE MORING. (Also I tracked down every WOMACK I could & the only PERNEICE WOMACK was married to someone else!) CASWELL & PERNEICE (MORING) HOWELL settled first in Thomas Co, GA....were there for the 1850 Census w/4 children: SARAH; BURRELL; PIETY; PEYTON They were in the househole of MARY ALLEN who had 2 daus, FRANCES & ELIZABETH....I've not found if there is a connection yet, but believe that there is. When my grandfather, HAMPTON ANDERSON HOWELL, b 1851 was a toddler, the family moved into Berrien Co & CASWELL HOWELL became an ordained Baptist minister, serving several churches in the area. If anyone has any connection at all to these HOWELLs or has heard anything that might connect my CASWELL HOWELL back to Wake Co., possibly to his parents & siblings, I would be so grateful to hear about it! BRUCE - PETER BRUCE (Sr); PETER BRUCE (Jr); PETER ELI BRUCE; [ALLEN BRUCE; ROBERT M. BRUCE; JOSEPH B. BRUCE; WILLIAM ARTHUR BRUCE (my grandfather - all these in the brackets were moved on into Iredell/Alexander Co, NC. --- (Hi to Sally & Sharon.) Thanks for your time in reading this! <g> Sarah Howell Studstill --part1_9d.197daaa.25d19d1b_boundary--
